Avatar 2: Frontiers of Pandora is Ready for Release

Over a decade after James Cameron’s original Avatar movie blew away the box office, Ubisoft’s massive Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is ready for release. This tech showcase looks at the game’s features, including a new Na’vi tribe called the Metkayina and an underwater world.

Zoe Saldana will reprise her role as Na’vi princess Neytiri, while Sam Worthington returns as Jake Sully. Joining them in the cast are CCH Pounder, Edie Falco and Jemaine Clement.

Story

More than a decade after the events of Avatar, Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) and Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) are parents to Neteyam, Lo’ak, and Tuktirey. When their home of Pandora is invaded by the RDA, they flee.

The sequel re-introduces several of the main characters from the first film, including Giovanni Ribisi as RDA Chief Parker Selfridge and Joel David Moore as Norm Spellman. The cast also includes CCH Pounder as Neytiri’s mother Mo’at and Matt Gerald as Corporal Lyle Wainfleet, as well as Edie Falco as a human leader.

Kate Winslet will also join the Avatar 2 cast, playing Ronal, the leader of a water tribe. Winslet has worked with James Cameron on a number of projects, including Titanic and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

British actor Britain Dalton will play Lo’ak, the youngest Na’vi son of Jake and Neytiri. He has appeared in a number of TV series, including CBBC’s So Awkward and Channel 4’s Close To Me.

Trinity Bliss will also join the Avatar 2 cast as Tuktirey, a young Na’vi daughter of Jake and Neytiri who is very curious about everything around her. She is a very sweet, loyal and kind character who loves her family.
